A blue whale weighs roughly 300,000 pounds. Every nine minutes, approximately 300,000 pounds of plastic waste makes its way into our oceans. To raise awareness of this issue, a group of artists create a life-sized sculpture of a blue whale made of single-use plastic trash sourced from the Bay Area.
