Mountainfilm is returning to the Film Society for a fifth year with documentaries about the environment, political and cultural issues, and most of all… adventure! Started in 1979 by rock climbers, Mountainfilm has expanded from a festival about the sport into a forum for documentaries of all stripes. This year’s entries run the gamut in subject from wrangling buffalo in the American West to fly-fishing in France 60 years after the Liberation to a nail-biting rescue story in the Grand Tetons.

Tickets and a 3+ Film Package for Mountainfilm will go on sale Thursday, October 30. All screenings take place in the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center.
