Photography Presentation with Filmmaker Marcus Haney

January 27, 2016Wilkinson Public Library

6 p.m.

ADMISSION IS FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

With Special Guest Marcus Haney

Telluride Mountainfilm in collaboration with Wilkinson Public Library bring a special photography presentation with photographer and filmmaker Marcus Haney, director of No Cameras Allowed on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 6 p.m.

Haney will present a slideshow of his photographs that are a inspiring glimpse into the world of backstage music photography and what it’s like to be behind scenes at some of the most iconic music festivals from around the world. This event is free and open to the public.

"Marcus Haney belongs where he doesn't belong. A Los Angeles native with a home on the road, he's more likely to be found jumping fences, hanging from trees, or sneaking past security lines to document the human circus rather than following the rules of marching in it. He's no sheep. The lens does not judge but paints the truth, and he takes to his work like a war photographer on the front lines of celebrating life. He burns with the same passion for his work as the artists, visionaries, and fifth business he captures. He's not to be found in the posh hotels of Vegas or Milan but on the floors of squats, the undercarriage of trains, or the roof of the White House. If you have a couch in a far off land he'll gladly come and sleep on it." –Gill Landry
