Zachary Garmoe

Zachary Garmoe is a documentary filmmaker with a professional background in coastal and marine sciences. He holds a master’s degree in science and natural history filmmaking from Montana State University. Garmoe is the director of Ghost Lands (Mountainfilm 2026). Prior to graduate school, he worked for the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays as well as the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Garmoe’s films are predominately focused on both overlooked and charismatic ecosystems found in backyards, national parks, interstate medians and everywhere in between.
