Vasu Sojitra
Vasu Sojitra is a professional skier and disability access strategist living in Bozeman, Montana. He has climbed peaks like the Grand Teton and was the first disabled person to ski peaks in Montana’s Beartooth and Bridger Mountains, completing monumental descents on Tahoma (Mt. Rainier) and Denali—all on one leg, without a prosthetic. His motto, “#ninjasticking through the woods,” underscores his commitment to centering intersectionality in the outdoors.
Sojitra’s 2015 documentary, Vasu Sojitra: Out on a Limb, premiered at Mountainfilm 2015, and his latest film, Adaptive Avalanche – Inclusive Outdoors Project, will debut at Mountainfilm 2025. He continues to push for more accessible spaces for people with disabilities and people of color in the outdoor and ski communities.
