Tony Gerber
Director, cinematographer and film producer Tony Gerber began his career directing theater in alternative New York playhouses. He went on to co-found (with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage) Market Road Films, an independent production company with a mission to bring unusual or untold stories to life with innovative storytelling. His 2008 film Full Battle Rattle, about a billion-dollar warfare simulation built in California’s Mojave Desert, premiered at Berlinale and then won the SXSW Special Jury Prize at its U.S. premiere. Gerber is also a two-time Emmy recipient who has written and directed more than 12 documentaries for National Geographic.
