
Todd Jones
Todd Jones is a co-founder of Teton Gravity Research (TGR), a production company known for documentary, outdoor and action sports films. He has directed and produced award-winning projects that highlight natural landscapes, athlete stories and environmental themes. His work has earned critical acclaim, including multiple Emmy nominations, for its cinematic style and storytelling. Jones directed The Lost Cache (Mountainfilm 2026) with Steve Jones, and is also the director of Pressure Drop: Valdez Segment and Pressure Drop: Kai Jones Segment (both Mountainfilm 2026). Through TGR, Jones has helped shape modern adventure filmmaking, consistently pushing creative boundaries while capturing authentic, high-impact stories. His films continue to inspire audiences worldwide, celebrating exploration, innovation, and the human spirit through compelling visual storytelling.
A longtime Mountainfilm filmmaker, Jones’ work has appeared at the festival for more than a decade, including Almost Ablaze (Mountainfilm 2015), which showcases big-mountain skiing in Wyoming, Alaska, British Columbia, Sarajevo, Italy and France.
