Shasta Grenier

Shasta Grenier grew up in Bozeman, Montana, and cultivated an early love for words and literature. After earning her M.A. in English at the University of British Columbia, Grenier turned her writing and storytelling talents to film, becoming a writer and editor for natural history and social documentaries. Her involvement in film led, in turn, to a director’s credit with Class C, a film about the battle for the girls’ state championship among Montana’s smallest high schools. Grenier’s subsequent director credits include Not Yet Begun to Fight (Mountainfilm 2012), which is about severely wounded Iraq and Afghanistan warriors who are trying to regain some balance and perspective through flyfishing.
