Petter Ringbom

New York-based Petter Ringbom is a Swedish filmmaker and designer. His debut feature documentary The Russian Winter premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in 2012. His follow-up feature documentary Shield and Spear, won the Silver Price at the UK’s Passion for Freedom Awards. Ringbom’s short film May Fly was nominated for the 1KM Film Award at Stockholm International Film Festival. His art video collaboration with Karl Haendel, Questions for My Father, was hailed as a “genuine sleeper” by The New York Times and selected for the art video program at Art Basel Miami. He directed The Limestone Conflict (Mountainfilm 2016), which follows the controversy surrounding limestone mining in the ancient Ojnare forest of Gotland, the largest island in Sweden.
