Paul Nicklen

Paul Nicklen is a Canadian photographer, filmmaker and marine biologist whose work explores the intersection of art, science and conservation. For more than three decades, he has documented the planet’s most remote and fragile ecosystems, creating powerful images that connect audiences to the natural world. His photography has been exhibited globally and collected by prominent figures around the world. Widely recognized for both artistry and impact, Nicklen has received over 30 major awards, including Wildlife Photographer of the Year and the World Press Photo Award, and was inducted into the International Photography Hall of Fame. His work continues to inspire urgency and action for the planet. Paul is a co-director of The Coral Gardeners (Mountainfilm 2026).
