Oliver Smith

Oliver Smith is a California-born filmmaker whose love for the outdoors shapes his creative vision. As a lifelong enthusiast of skiing and biking, he found his earliest storytelling inspiration in the mountains and outdoors of his upbringing. After graduating from Colorado College with a degree in film and media, he co-founded Caution Media, a small production house specializing in action sports and off-the-beaten-path stories. Currently, Smith is working on a short documentary about Icelandic sheep farming and various short ski films. He plans to keep creating authentic, adventure-driven projects that capture the spirit of the outdoors. Smith is a co-director of Whispers (Mountainfilm 2025).
