
Nikki Hausherr
Nikki Hausherr is a filmmaker, photographer and outdoor enthusiast who is happiest in nature with a camera in her hand. Her work is informed by her bachelor’s degree in documentary production, and peace, justice and conflict studies at DePaul University. Hausherr’s early film work includes the documentary short Barefoot Lawyers of Uganda, which won the 2016 My Hero International Film Award. Hausherr is the director of Dancing Roots (Mountainfilm 2026). She currently runs Nik House Media to help nonprofits and small businesses tell stories through photography and film that will expand their reach. She is also a creative partner of Open Roads, an adventure travel and documentary storytelling company.
