Nicolas Brown

Nicolas Brown has won three Emmys, two BAFTA awards and more than 35 major festival awards in the U.S., China, India and Europe. For the past five years, he has worked as Passion Pictures’ Creative Director of the Blue Media Lab — a think-tank dedicated to environmental filmmaking. A regular at the BBC, he directed the award-winning Earth’s Natural Wonders, two episodes of the BAFTA-winning Human Planet and the multiple-award-winning Climate Chaos with Sir David Attenborough. Nicolas’ Discovery Channel film Global Warming: What You Need to Know with Tom Brokaw won an Emmy for Best Long Form Documentary. He has been invited by the UK foreign office to lecture about climate change, has given presentations on filming natural history in the US and Germany and is co-author of the book Human Planet, published by Random House and BBC Books. He is the director of The Serengeti Rules (Mountainfilm 2019).
