Nathanaël Sapey-triomphe

Nathanael Sapey-Triomphe is a young French film director, cinematographer, and photographer. Raised and based in the French Alps, he has been capturing the world through documentaries and commercials since 2015. His contagious energy, determination, and happiness are what drive him in each project he undertakes.This year, he created his first project as an athlete and director, Pourquoi Tu Vas Là-Haut / What Brings You Up There (Mountainfilm 2025), an intimate self-discovery journey through a paralpinism expedition in the Himalayas with his friends and climbing partners Michel Cervelin and Cchering Sherpa. His athletic focus in recent years has been blending alpine climbing with high-altitude flying. Through this film, he wants to question the public about the paradox of what brings his friend and him joy. While showing that there is true beauty in our vunerabilities. Driven by passion, the multi-talented artist continues working on what he loves without compromise. In 2024 and 2025, the public will discover his first personal film project and his first photographic exhibition, "Extrem-ities"
