
Nadia Gill
Nadia Gill is an award-winning filmmaker and co-founder of Encompass Films. A former attorney who traded the courtroom for the camera, she specializes in documentaries that explore American identity, ideological complexity and the environment. Her work has been featured by Netflix, the Los Angeles Times, and the Redford Center, and supported by brands, including REI, Red Bull and Black Diamond. Gill co-directed Planetwalker, shortlisted for the Academy Awards, and is the co-director of The [Conserv]atives (Mountainfilm 2026), alongside Dominic Gill, following conservative Americans working on environmental conservation across partisan divides. She also founded the Bristlecone Film Collective, a nonprofit nurturing film culture in the Sierra Nevada.
Her Mountainfilm history includes producing Above the Alley, Beneath the Sky (Mountainfilm 2015) and On a Wing and a Prayer (Mountainfilm 2019). Her most recent Mountainfilm title is A Symphony of Tiny Lights (Mountainfilm 2024). She also founded the Bristlecone Film Collective, a nonprofit nurturing film culture in the Sierra Nevada.
