Mattias Evangelista

Mattias Evangelista is a director and editor currently based in Los Angeles, California, and co-director of A Kind Favor (Mountainfilm 2025). As a filmmaker, he strives to tell human stories and brings passion and empathy to every project he works on. His short films have screened in prestigious festivals around the globe and he’s a seven-time Vimeo Staff Pick award winner. In his recent short There’s No End (Mountainfilm 2022), Evangelista steps into indie rock’s Phil Elverum’s intimate world as he raises his daughter in the San Juan Islands.
