Matthew Benton

Matthew Benton is a director and producer whose work spans commercials, documentaries and photography. Over the past decade, he has collaborated with acclaimed production companies, brands, agencies and artists, developing a multi-hyphenated approach to creative storytelling. Benton is the director of Fish for the Future (Mountainfilm 2026). Drawn to the subtle ways people inhabit and shape their environments, Benton works to foster deeper communal and individual connectivity to the natural world through documentary storytelling and grassroots efforts. He hopes to help bridge the disconnect between urbanized societies and the wild spaces they inhabit, so that there can be dynamic rewilding and reconnection happening in our backyard.
