Louisa Rechenbach

Louisa Rechenbach is director of Farm Days (Mountainfilm 2025) and an award-winning documentary filmmaker, passionate about exploring the intersection of art and social commentary. Her work focuses on creating character-driven films that shine a light on various social issues. She is interested in presenting alternative perspectives that challenge conventional views of modern life. Rechenbach’s first short film, They, is a portrait of a family raising their child with a gender-open approach. The film was selected by the 2019 BFI London Film Festival, screened at 26 festivals worldwide, won four international awards, and was shortlisted for the Grierson Documentary Awards.
