Lina Lužytė

Lina Lužyt? is an award-winning Lithuanian filmmaker who graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre with an M.A. in film directing. In 2009, she wrote and directed It Would Be Splendid, Yet, a short film about a woman seeking independence, which was selected for over 15 international film festivals and won several awards. Lužyt? has been working on her latest project 199 Little Heroes since 2011 — a film series that features children from around the world and their challenging journeys to school. One part of that series, 199 Little Heroes: Jésùs from Mexico (Mountainfilm 2021), is screened at Mountainfilm.
