Katie Mustard
An honors graduate of USC Film School, Katie Mustard is a producer and line producer and has overseen production of 25 short and feature films, eight of which premiered at Sundance. In 2010, Mustard turned her hand to documentary filmmaking with Soul of the Sea (Mountainfilm 2012) about expedition leader Haley Shephard’s attempt to complete the first solo kayak around South Georgia Island in the South Atlantic Ocean — one of the most remote and inhospitable locations in the world. Shephard’s quest was also to raise awareness about the plight of the Albatross, the world’s largest flying bird that is endangered and faces extinction. Mustard received a $5,000 Mountainfilm Commitment grant for Soul of the Sea.
