Josiah Jones

Josiah Jones is a film director and editor based in Boulder, Colorado, and director of the short film Ephemeral (Mountainfilm 2025). As a mountain athlete, his personal drive for exploration shapes both his subject matter and storytelling. Specializing in outdoor adventure, Jones brings a background in commercial, music video and abstract filmmaking, blending a stylized approach with raw vérité narratives to create a distinctive documentary style. His work explores themes of risk, endurance and core human motives. Jones is driven to create films that are grounded in the natural world and elevated by the people who move through it.
