Josh Gleason

Josh Gleason is a documentary filmmaker based in New York City. He has directed and produced several PBS programs and was a producer on Showtime’s “The Circus.” With Vanessa Carr, he founded a documentary production company called Lovely Louise Pictures, which is named after Gleason’s grandmother. Prior to becoming a filmmaker, Gleason reported and produced radio stories for “This American Life” and “All Things Considered.” He co-directed The Disrupted (Mountainfilm 2020), a feature documentary that follows a farmer in Kansas, a laid-off factory worker in Ohio and an Uber driver in Florida as they navigate what it means to adapt and thrive through dehumanizing forces in the American economy, alongside Sarah Colt.
