Isabela Zawistowska

Isabela Zawistowska is a Mexican-American director and cinematographer with a passion for telling human-driven stories rooted in resilience and connection. As an avid rock climber and mountain woman, she is particularly drawn to narratives that explore our relationship with the natural world. Zawistowska is the co-director of Rock Faced It All (Mountainfilm 2026), alongside Clare Bennett. Her recent award-winning short film Don’t Doubt the Trout, created in partnership with Cotopaxi, highlights her ability to elevate character-driven stories with impact. Isabela began her career as a camera assistant and operator on HBO and Netflix docuseries produced by the teams behind Tiger King and Chimp Crazy. Zawistowska has also worked with global, sustainably-minded brands and organizations including The North Face, Cotopaxi, Chaco Footwear, the Honnold Foundation and Re:Wild.
