Fritz Bitsoie

Fritz Bitsoie is a Diné filmmaker and Emmy-nominated director whose work explores Indigenous identity through grounded and cinematic storytelling. Based in Los Angeles, his films have screened at major festivals including Big Sky, SXSW and DOC NYC. His award-winning shorts Through the Storm and The Trails Before Us (Mountainfilm 2022) were made in collaboration with Nike N7 and Specialized Bicycles. His work blends realism and visual poetry, always rooted in a sense of place and responsibility to how Native stories are told and remembered. Fritz is the director of Talliyah (Mountainfilm 2026).
