Frédéric Fougea

Over the years, Frédéric Fougea has worked as a showrunner, writer and director of numerous documentary films and TV series. He’s known for his recognizable and unique style of storytelling, often adding dramatic techniques and effects into his documentary films and shows. The French filmmaker has worked on projects that include an episode for the BBC’s “Natural World” documentary program titled “France: The Wild Side” (2014) and the film Hanuman (1998). He started the production company, Boréales, which has gone on to become one of the most successful producers of primetime natural history and science series in Europe. His film The Snow Wolf: A Winter's Tale (Mountainfilm 2020) is a dramatized documentary that tells the tale of a pregnant alpha wolf journeying through the Alps in search of new territory.
