Esther Chan
Esther Chan is a queer Chinese-Vietnamese-American director and editor. She is currently fighting for reproductive rights as the director of post-production at Planned Parenthood. She co-founded Oof Stories, a video collective that uplifts AAPI stories. Chan is the co-director of Yu & Me (Mountainfilm 2026), alongside Claudine Cho. Chan’s work has premiered at DOC NYC, DisOrient and PBS, and won an award for Most Inspiring Short Documentary at Silicon Valley Asian Pacific FilmFest.
