Emily Harrold

Emily Harrold’s work has been screened at Tribeca Film Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival, DOC NYC and the Telluride Film Festival. Her feature directorial debut, While I Breathe, I Hope (2018), honed in on politician and CNN political commentator Bakari Sellers and premiered on WorldChannel’s AfroPoP series and won a 2020 Southeast Emmy. In 2020, Harrold was a finalist for Mountainfilm’s Emerging Filmmaker Fellowship for her film, Meltdown in Dixie (Mountainfilm 2021), which showed the following year. In 2021, Harrold also produced the PBS American Experience documentary Voice of Freedom (2021), about the singer Marian Anderson.
