Elizabeth Ferris

Elizabeth Ferris has spent her career working in the fields of refugee, migration and humanitarian issues. She is a research professor with the Institute for the Study of International Migration at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, and a nonresident senior fellow in Foreign Policy at the Brookings Institution. In 2016, she served as a senior advisor to the UN General Assembly’s Summit for Refugees and Migrants in New York. She is the author of several books, including Consequences of Chaos: Syria’s Humanitarian Crisis and the Failure to Protect.
