Dara Horenblas

Dara Horenblas is an Emmy-nominated showrunner and director with over two decades of experience in documentaries. She thrives exploring new places and perspectives, and telling stories that engage, entertain and maybe even have a bit of positive impact. Horenblas is the director of American River (Mountainfilm 2026). She has filmed on six continents and directed and/or otherwise led series for outlets like CNN (“Tony Shalhoub Breaking Bread”), Netflix (“Sprint,” “Worn Stories,” “Ugly Delicious,” “Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner,” “Chelsea”) and Amazon Sports (“Surf Girls”). Her work focuses on character-driven narratives and whether she’s capturing the worlds of A-list celebrities or equally amazing, utterly un-famous people, she embraces authenticity, humor and collaboration.
