Daniel Mitchell

Daniel Mitchell is a filmmaker based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. In 2016, he co-founded BLK ELK, a production company that helps brands tell compelling stories, especially those rooted in the outdoors. His work spans commercial and documentary projects for brands like Red Bull, Burton, Walmart, Collins Aerospace and Whole Foods. Mitchell co-directed Well Worn Life with Dani Reyes-Acosta (Mountainfilm 2023) and directed Jaunt (Mountainfilm 2026). With a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Arkansas, Mitchell blends creative vision with technical precision. He’s drawn to things that go fast and people who take life slow.
