Cole Bernier

Cole Bernier is co-director of GOOCHIE (Mountainfilm 2025). Born with a passion for speed, adventure and the outdoors, he grew up racing motocross, riding mountain bikes, snowboarding and playing just about every sport he could get into. In 2015, a spinal cord injury changed the way he moves through the world—but not his drive to explore it. Since then, he’s discovered new freedom through adaptive mountain biking. For more than six years, he’s been immersed in the adaptive riding world, carving new lines and chasing stoke across some of the most epic terrain in North America—including Moab, the wild trails of British Columbia and Alberta and all over California, Utah, Montana, Washington and Oregon. He now rides and works with Bowhead, a company leading the charge in adaptive mountain bike innovation. His role focuses on race event advocacy and community relations—connecting riders, breaking down barriers and helping build a more inclusive future for outdoor sports.
