Claudia Puig

Claudia Puig is a nationally recognized film journalist, critic and film festival curator. She is director of programming for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and program director for Cascadia International Women’s Film Festival in Bellingham, WA. In 2020 Puig won the Excellence in Entertainment Journalism award from the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP). Puig has been a film critic on National Public Radio’s “Film Week” and the lead movie critic at USA Today. Before that she was a staff writer at the Los Angeles Times and part of a Pulitzer prize-winning team for coverage of the 1992 Los Angeles uprising.
