Ciarán Heurteau
High performance slalom kayaker Ciarán Heurteau chose to switch gears a bit after spending 12 hours with a dislocated shoulder in the backcountry of New Zealand. The injury caused him to re-evaluate his pursuits and ultimately led Heurteau to create a production company in 2010 called Twelve Productions, which allows him to chase his adrenaline infused passion, high intensity kayaking, through the mediums of film production and directing. He has been to all corners of the globe documenting the top performers of the sport. His film Inside the Indus: A Pakistani Odyssey (Mountainfilm 2018) won Best Adventure Film at the Killarney Mountain Festival, Irelands adventure capital.
