Catherine Lynn Butler

Award-winning documentary writer and producer Catherine Lynn Butler has worked in feature and short-form media for 15 years. Specializing in weaving together complex stories of science, history, culture and the environment, Butler’s credits include work for television, educational projects and nonprofit clients. She began her media career at National Public Radio, but found her true calling in producing education-based documentaries, and co-founded Butlerfilms LLC with her sister Jeanine in 1996. She is the producer of American Heretics: The Politics of the Gospel (Mountainfilm 2019).
