
Bruce Young
Bruce Young spent 10 years working as an actor in South Africa and the U.S., appearing in Lethal Weapon 2 opposite Mel Gibson, and he worked on the production end of filmmaking in Los Angeles before returning to South Africa to co-start AFDA, the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance. In South Africa, he established himself as a screenwriter and has written scripts for a broad range of film genres and styles, including feature films, television dramas, sitcoms and natural history documentaries. Drawn by the plight of lions and the human relationship with wild animals, Young made his directorial debut with Blood Lions (Mountainfilm 2016).
