Brendan Young

Brendan Young is a documentary and commercial director. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., his grandmother’s work as a potter was his earliest exposure to art. From his grandfather, he learned a love for baked goods and trains. Taking pride in capturing intimate moments through a compelling lens, Young is drawn to stories that celebrate and help make sense of the world around us: stories about community in unlikely places, films and commercials that make us think and feel outside our own perspectives. Young directed To Know a Place (Mountainfilm 2024) and The Meloneers (Mountainfilm 2026).
