
Abraham Joffe
Abraham Joffe is an internationally acclaimed director, producer and cinematographer known for combining cinematic scale with rigorous investigative and environmental storytelling. He produced and directed the Southern Ocean episode of “Our Oceans,” a four-year landmark Netflix series executive produced and narrated by Barack Obama. In 2025 he released his debut feature documentary Trade Secret(Mountainfilm 2026), filmed across nine countries over six years. The film exposes the global commercial trade in polar bear skins and the hidden intersection of conservation, commerce and politics. Trade Secret was awarded the Golden Panda at Wildscreen for its impact and investigative depth. Joffe previously created “Tales by Light” and “Big Cat Tales,” has filmed in over 50 countries and was named Australian Cinematographer of the Year by the ACS.
