Mountainfilm presents Winter Shorts film program at annual fundraiser

Annual event to feature adventurous auction items, films, drinks and lots of fun

What could be more fun than enjoying the camaraderie of a winter adventure-themed film program at Mountainfilm’s annual fundraising event at the historic Sheridan Opera House?

Anchored by 2019 festival favorites like Queen Maud Land and Ice & Palms, the program will feature a fun group of short films that are sure to get the crowd excited about winter. “We’ve selected a set of action-packed shorts that are sure to fuel the stoke,” says Mountainfilm’s Development Manager Jason Merritt. “We’re looking forward to gathering the community to celebrate winter. This year we’ll be spending more time at the party with an opportunity to win some epic auction items!”

Be sure to arrive when doors open at 5:30 p.m. to receive a free drink ticket, enjoy free apps and bid on amazing silent auction items. Films will start at 7:00 p.m.

This year’s silent auction will include more adventurous items than ever before. Featuring Wagner Custom Skis, heli-skiing with Telluride Helitrax, guided ice-climbing with Mountain Trip, Mountainfilm Patron Passes and lunch with 2020 Guest Director Louie Psihoyos (director of festival favorites including The Cove, Racing Extinction and The Game Changers). In addition, there will be gear to be auctioned from The North Face, YETI, Mountainfilm and Jagged Edge. Also new this year is the opportunity to bid online before the event at 32auctions.com/mountainfilm.

Advance tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under, available via the link below. At the door, tickets will cost $30 for adults and $20 for children. All proceeds support Mountainfilm and our mission to use the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world. See you there!
