Horny Toad CEO Gordon Seabury Weighs in on Mountainfilm

Gordon Seabury, CEO of Mountainfilm sponsor Horny Toad, took some time over on the Tao of Toad blog to provide some thoughts on this year's festival

I always look forward to my annual Memorial Day weekend pilgrimage to Telluride. It’s a chance to breathe in the fresh air of my favorite mountain town and be renewed by the art, culture and stories that are Mountainfilm. This year did not fail to inspire all who went, so I thought I owed it to the great people behind the festival to share just a few of the many highlights from this year’s line-up.

While NPR beat me to reviewing the amazing documentary Buck, it deserves another mention. This film about Buck Brannaman, the true horse whisperer, is not what it appears. I arrived expecting a story about a man’s unique relationship with horses and came away with an evolved perspective on being a good husband, father and adult. He is an amazing person with a captivating story that (lucky for all) will soon be released in theaters on a limited basis – definitely catch it if you have the chance!

We’ve said it before, but it’s hard to overstate the awesomeness that is Mountainfilm. Set in one of the most beautiful places on the planet and full of inspiring folks making world-changing art, it’s well-worth working into your vacation itinerary for next year.

Read Gordon's full Mountainfilm recaps, part 1 and part 2.
