Withdraw

In the digital age, what can an illustrator working in pen, ink and watercolor do better than a camera? Withdraw is a brief portrait of British illustrator George Butler at work in Afghanistan in the immediate aftermath of the withdrawal of British and American troops. Butler narrates, offering insight into his own work, and director Tim Brown, somewhat paradoxically, uses advanced digital technology to give the old-school illustrator his due.
