Overview

In many sports, athletes are pushing to achieve bigger jumps and harder tricks. The emphasis is on glory, but the underlying danger is the risk of major accidents. Wipe Out tells the stories of three young men whose lives are changed forever when they suffer brain injuries in severe accidents while snowboarding, skateboarding and dirt biking. In the aftermath, they face lengthy rehabilitation, frustrating setbacks, physical disabilities and the reality that they’ll never be the same. They use the experience as a way to tout helmets—trying to persuade the next generation to protect their precious heads.
