Overview

A conservationist with a scheme to save rhinos by harvesting their horns sustainably. A lifelong hunter who devotes his time and resources to killing the animals he loves the most. And an anti-poacher who works with hunters. There is little in Trophy that is unambiguous. This film by Shaul Schwarz and Christina Clusiau takes an in-depth look into big game hunting, making clear that it’s no simple issue. Instead, it’s a complex briar of conservation interests, human dominion over the wild, black market demands and the consequences of treating animals as commodities. This film unfolds in unbiased chapters, offering much to ponder and letting the audience draw its own conclusions.
