The Curling Stones

2006 USA
Duration: 5 mins

Overview

Young Men in white lab coats with gas masks and blowtorches are hard at work in an industrial loft, but this stylish film isn’t about an underground experiment gone wrong: It’s about art. The men are heating an acrylic surface upon which to slide curling stones that will create a series of paintings. You can see the stones—created by artist Jason Young — up close at the Ah Haa School. At this showing, Young will also talk about his next project, White, which is part film, part artwork and all part of a big vision. —DH
