Our Vulnerable Oceans

Annual Symposium

To say Paul Watson is a personality would be an understatement. The marine wildlife conservation and environmental activist has made it his life’s mission to protect the ocean and marine life — no matter the stakes. As the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society founder, Watson has been accused of eco-terrorism for his extreme, no-hold tactics — a strategy that has saved the lives of numerous sea creatures, brought awareness to whaling and overfishing and in some cases, stopped practices that are endangering the health of our oceans.

In this presentation, Watson will speak about his life’s work with Mountainfilm 2020 Guest Director Louie Psihoyos, a fellow ocean advocate, filmmaker and dive photographer whose films often bring to light the decline of our seas and the species they house.
