Overview

“Being Black in Miami, sometimes it feels like the odds are against you.” Those are the words of James, a 14-year-old community clean-up organizer from the Miami neighborhood of Liberty City. This hybrid film tells the story of a kid coming of age in a world shaped by climate gentrification, racism and violence, where racial reckoning and pandemic roil the city in 2020.
