Overview

From director Chris Kitchen comes an ode to America’s best idea: our national parks. One hundred years after the 1916 creation of the National Park Service, a crew of professional skiers set out on adventures in Yosemite, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Glacier and Olympic national parks. Following in the footsteps of the first explorers, photographers, surveyors and conservationists of the American West, the group skis big lines and cultivates friendships from their backcountry camps. Without the summer crowds, the wilderness comes alive with the same beauty, wonder and solitude that enchanted the winter visitors of a century ago and inspired preserving the land for future generations.
