Overview

The state of Michigan is not exactly known as a climbing mecca, but that’s changing during the colder months. Extreme temperatures around Lake Michigan have created some of the country’s most exciting ice climbing with huge routes that hang precariously and directly over this enormous body of water. Filmmaker Aaron Peterson, a Michigan denizen who previously brought us Cold Rolled about fat biking in the region, returns to Mountainfilm with Fallen Feather, a story about a professional climber named Sam Elias who returns to his native Michigan to scale some home ice.
