Trip Ziggurat

Filmmaker Usama Alshaibi embarks on a road trip to Crestone, Colorado, a spiritual center for many, searching for a piece of his home in Iraq. There he finds a Ziggurat, a tower that serves as a place to pray, ponder and meditate, and which symbolizes the connection between heaven and Earth. Alshaibi’s personal pilgrimage is intertwined with the stories of other Arabs living in Boulder and how they maintain connection with their homelands.
