Markus Füchtner, whose great-great-great-grandfather invented the nutcracker doll, makes nutcrackers for a living, as did each of his forefathers who descended from the great inventor. Now the eighth generation of his family to painstakingly craft the wooden toys, Füchtner reflects on what he calls the best decision of his life.
