Savoring Joy

Diné photographer Mylo Fowler goes on a 450-mile bike packing journey from the Salt Flats of northern Utah to his childhood home on Navajo land (Dinetáh) in order to carry on his people’s tradition. He carries with him a gift of salt, intended as a ceremonial gift for a baby’s first laugh ceremony. Along the way the teachings of his elders and legacy of his grandfather help guide his path.
